The General Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Laniado Hospital is a special area that cares for patients suffering from life-threatening conditions such as severe breathing problems, shock, or acute surgical problems, or who require close observation after surgery.  These patients, who are referred from the Emergency Room, the Operating Room, the Maternity Department and other departments, require ongoing medical treatment and continuous nursing care.
The Intensive Care Unit, which  is outfitted with breakthrough diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, provides excellence in health care in an atmosphere of compassion and caring.  The staff of skilled professionals, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, a pharmacist, a social worker and others, work together as a unified, patient-centered system to provide support for the patient and his/her family from the moment of  admission and for the duration of  the hospitalization.  nim_Large
